‘We are absolutely devastated’ - Body of missing autistic man Mark Wright found confirm heartbroken family

The family of missing 24 year-old autistic man, Mark Wright, have confirmed his body was discovered during a search operation on Monday.

“We as a family want to thank everyone who’s helped in the search for Mark,” wrote Mr. Wright’s family on social media.

“Unfortunately the outcome wasn’t what we wanted and he was found today.

“We are absolutely devastated and heartbroken and can’t thank you all enough for your help,” the family added.

Mark was reported missing on Thursday September 3 at 8.50am on Holywood Road in east Belfast.

Police searching for missing person Mark Wright have recovered a body in Glenview Drive in Belfast this morning,” said the PSNI.

“A post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death. There are no further details at the time,” they added.
