Woman's hijacking is linked to Lisburn Road robbery

Police are investigating a link between the hijacking of a woman's car in Belfast this afternoon and a later robbery on the Lisburn Road.

The robbery took place in commercial premises when it was reported that a large masked man entered a pharmacy armed with a suspected firearm and demanded tablets from the staff.

A number of items were handed over and the man made off from the scene in a black VW Passat in the direction of Tates Avenue.
