Despite only opening three years ago the city pub has quickly become a favourite among locals and tourists alike, lauded for its homebrews.

The trendy city centre venue serves up an array of tasty craft beers; including Boom - a tropical pale ale.

The Walled City Brewery is the first pub of its kind in Northern Ireland, combining an on-site brewery with a restaurant.

The restaurant serves up high end pub grub, with menu staples including tea braised lamb tandoori and a Walled City Burger topped with emmental cheese and chipotle mayo.

"The ethos behind the business is to provide both locals and tourists a 'Taste of the North West' through crafting local, authentic, premium quality, flavoursome beer and food," explain the pair on their website.

The pub itself was a culmination of the duo's passions for brewing and the city of Londonderry. Upon opening in 2015 the brewery became the first microbrewery to operate in the city for over 100 years.

The Walled City brewery saw off competition from fellow Northern Irish pubs The Northern Whig (Antrim), Keegan's Bar(Armagh), The Stokers Halt (Down), Blakes of the Hollow (Fermanagh) and The Brewer's House (Tyrone).
