Damp weather leaves patios looking worse for wear each winter, but discounted pressure washer attachments promise an easier spring clean

With the weather finally improving, and the evenings getting lighter, it's time to turn your attention to our patios. And there won't be a patio in the land that hasn't gone a ghastly shade of green over the winter.

The annual build-up of algae has been supercharged this autumn and winter, with the shorter daylight lengths exacerbated by cooler air and incessant rain. But cleaning the grot off needn't be a bind.

Tools like this Bosch patio cleaner attachment make life so much easier. Beneath its green dome are spinning brushes which shave away the layer of green goo, which you then wash away with your pressure washer.

It's on offer at the moment on Amazon, with 32% off its price, costing just £23.49. It's designed to work with Bosch jetwashes. We've found a really cheap one here at £65.81.

Another brand we're fond of is Karcher, and their jetwashes currently start at £64.18. But Karcher's patio cleaner is more expensive, despite a 40% discount - it's currently £54.

Handily, both patio-cleaning attachments will work well on driveways, decking, or even walls, so they're not a one-trick pony.

And they're obviously a good investment, especially if you can catch the discounts.

Amazon Prime members get free delivery on eligible items. Non-Prime customers may pay delivery charges depending on the order.
