Belfast Giants sign forward Foster for start of the new Elite League season

The Stena Line Belfast Giants have signed Alex Foster for the 2016/17 Elite League season.

Foster will link up with former teammate Steve Saviano as both played for HC Bolzano of the Austrian Hockey League during the 2015/16 season.

Foster, a 31 year old forward, will add speed and energy to the Giants lineup and will become the 170th player to pull on the Giants Teal jersey when the new season begins.

The American spent six seasons in Toronto and posted 163 points in 337 games played for the Marlies where he wore both an ‘A’ and a ‘C’ and also earned himself a call-up to the NHL’s Maple Leafs .
