BOWLS: Bangor turn up heat in NIBA Division One title race
Whitehead still sit proudly at the top of the table, but Bangor are bravely hanging to their coat tails, awaiting any potential slip.
The Seasiders hardened their challenge with a midweek win over Lisnagarvey that edged them to within five points of the leaders. With only three matches remaining, both teams will be expected to maintain their push at the top on Saturday with Whitehead due to visit Donaghadee, while a short trip down the road, Bangor are dueto entertain Portadown.

Hide AdRobert Hastings produced Bangor’s best performance in the win over relegation haunted Garvey, defeating Ivan Craig 29-10.
Mark Shannon and Matthew Crawford chipped in by beating Noel Graham (20-15) and Philip Cromie (26-16). Gareth McLoughlin picked up the home team’s only point with a 31-20 win against Graham McKee.
