BOXING: Ryan Burnett opponent to be named
IBF bantamweight World champion Ryan Burnett will find out on Wednesday who he will face in the first defence of his belt at the SSE Arena on October 21.
The Belfast fighter claimed the title when he saw off Lee Haskins on points at the Belfast venue on June 10.
And there has been speculation that the 25-year-old’s first title defence could be against WBA champion Zhanat Zhakiyanov - which means Burnett would unify the division.
