WBA Featherweight champion Santa Cruz defends his belt against Kiko Martinez on February 27 - the same night Frampton and Quigg fight in Manchester - and he admits he wants the winner.

“That is the plan, I was saying to my manager that if I get past Martinez, my plan was to call out Carl Frampton or Scott Quigg. Whoever wins the fight.

“We are all fighting on the same night - so if I am good and beat Martinez - I get the winner of them,” he added.

And the Mexican is unsure as to who will win the fight between Frampton and Quigg.

“I truely believe it is a 50/50 fight and it could go either way.

“I think it depends on who catches who first because they can both hit.

“I don’t think it will go the distance and if Frampton catches Quigg first - he is the winner.

“And if Quigg gets to him first - then he wins. But whatever happens, I want the winner,” added Santa Cruz.
