Tommy McCarthy to fight in Bolton on October 22
The Belfast cruiserweight will face Askin in an eliminator for the British title.

Hide AdMcCarthy is unbeaten after nine wins with five of those wins coming by way of knock-out.
Askin has won 20 of his 24 fights and will be a good test for McCarthy as this stage of his career.
And Belfast’s Anthony Cacace will return to action in Wigan on September 3.

Hide AdHis opponent for his comeback fight hasn’t been confirmed yet but if he comes through this fight unscathed the Celtic super featherweight champion can look forward to a British title final eliminator against George Jupp (13-3) which is likely to be staged in October.
“Anthony is training with Brian and he’s been training for the last three or four weeks,” said manager Pat Magee.
“He hasn’t fought since last October so we need to get him out before he fights in this final eliminator against Jupp.”
