The meeting between the Section One pair was the first of two scheduled matches on T20 Finals Day – Waringstown are set to face Lisburn in the Twenty20 Cup final with play getting underway at 4:15pm.

NCU officials will now meet to assess their options following the postponement, posting: “Following significant delays of over two hours while a player received treatment for a serious injury during the Trophy Final, it has been decided to postpone the game.

“The NCU Board will meet tonight to discuss the available options and a further update will follow. The LVS T20 Cup final will go ahead with play starting at 4:15pm. Thank you for your patience and understanding.”

Carrick had earlier posted 123/8 from their 20 overs with Jay Parkhill (32*) top-scoring while Matthew Wright (2/30) and Luan Liebenberg (2/37) collected two wickets apiece for Armagh.
