“They were up for the task and I felt that it was a really good game.
“We were happy enough at half-time leading 11-8. I always feel that the start of the second half is very important and if you are in a position like that and can push on with a few more scores then that makes it difficult for the opposition.
“We had a few good chances at the start of the second half and didn’t take them and then Cavan got a score to close the gap. The goal, when it came, gave us a cushion.”
