Find out who is on the move in the NCU

Neil Gelston and Michael Turkington are among the movers in the latest round of player transfers in the NCU.

Gelston, the former Downpatrick and CIYMS all-rounder, has moved from Drumaness to newly-promoted Section One side Armagh.

It is another sign of Armagh’s ambition that they have recruited Gelston, a player with plenty of Premier League experience.

Gelston will join Indrajeet Kamtekar at The Mall, the Indian all-rounder having signed as the club’s overseas professional after a special with Carrickfergus in the top flight.

CIYMS have confirmed the capture of left-arm spinner Stephen McChesney, the slow bowler returning to Belmont for a second spell from Cliftonville.

One of the more surprising moves is Michael Turkington’s switch from home-town club Cliftonville to Lisburn. The veteran former North Down batsman is expected to play mostly second eleven cricket but could be an option for new captain Adam Berry in the middle order.

The latest round of NCU transfer confirms the previous reports in the News Letter that Allan Coulter and Zach Rushe are moving to CIYMS from CSNI and Instonians respectively.
