Glasgow Rangers: Betting suspended on Alex McLeish returning as Ibrox boss

The bookmakers have taken down their market on McLeish’s next port of call following a run of bets triggered by the Light Blues’ 2-1 loss to Dundee on Friday night.

Derek McInnes had been favourite following the departure of Pedro Caixinha, but distanced himself from the role late last week.

After a sustained amount of betting activity the league sponsors stopped taking bets on who will be the next Rangers manager.

David Macdonald of Ladbrokes said: “Money talks and the bets we’ve seen suggest Alex Mcleish is on the verge of returning to Rangers.”
