Glenavon keeper Jonathan Tuffey is confident they will do the business in Europa League

Gary Hamilton’s Lurgan Blues are trailing 2-1 after last week’s first leg in Iceland and Tuffey is confident they can claim a notable victory.

“We were disappointed to concede the late penalty but we felt we coped reasonably well out there and we are even more aware now that they are a good side.

“If we’re at it and stick to the gameplan then we feel we have a great chance.

“It would be a remarkable achievement and a huge incentive to get to the second round.”

And Tuffey believes Glenavon boss Hamilton and his assistant Paul Millar have turned the club around.

“When they arrived the club was in the bottom three and they’ve taken the team to two Irish Cups and three European finishes in a row.

“This is a huge carrot dangling in front of everybody so hopefully we can produce a good performance and make it through to the next round,” added Tuffey.
