On Tuesday morning NIFL issued a statement saying the 2019/20 season will be curtailed immediately and a mathematical formula will decide the final positions in the Danske Bank Premiership.

With 'Stute currently sitting at the bottom of the table it looks likely they will be relegated and Russell concedes until that decision is officially made then the Waterside men will assess their options.

"At the end of the day we are still unsure who will be relegated, so because of that we'll have to wait and see what the independent panel's decision is before doing anything," he insisted.

"When we find out the outcome of the independent panel's decision then the club will take time to see what we should do next and what our next move should be.

"However at the minute it's hard to comment on anything when there's still uncertainty."
