Murray was made available to other clubs last week after submitting a transfer request to the Shamrock Park outfit.

Official cash-only offers have been made by fellow Danske Bank Premiership side Cliftonville and League of Ireland’s Derry City.

“We can confirm that two offers sit on the table at present,” Portadown chairman Roy McMahon told the Portadown Times.

“As it stands, we are in negotiations and will remain so until the best deal is reached in the interests of Portadown Football Club.”

Despite the uncertainty surrounding his player’s future, Ports boss Ronnie McFall insists Murray remains a big part of his plans – including Friday night’s trip to Ballinamallard United in the Premiership.

The striker was an unused substitute in last Saturday’s Tennent’s Irish Cup win over Wakehurst.

“The chairman is handling Darren’s transfer situation but, as manager, I will have no problem picking the player and everything is normal on that front,” said McFall.

“There is nothing concluded at this point and I would think he is going to be part of the squad for the Ballinamallard match.”
