IRISH LEAGUE: Coleraine boss Oran Kearney looking forward to Ballinamallard United clash

The Bannsiders - so far this season - have drawn with Linfield 1--1, been beaten 4-0 by Dungannon Swifts, drawn 1-1 with Crusaders before beating Glentoran 4-1 and Limavady United 3-0.

And Kearney believes Glentoran and Limavady have taken the brunt of their frustration before they travel to Ballinamallard United on Saturday afternoon.

“There’s probably been an air of frustration about the start of the season from our point of view as we have put in some good performances but we haven’t got what we have deserved out of the games,.

“Friday night was just brilliant, there’s no other way to descirbe it. I can praise all 14 players who played, they were all on the money.

“We followed it up with a professional performance against Limavady in the League Cup.

“We’ve shown what we can do, and that’s the frustrating side for me as we have to produce that more consistently.

“We have set the bar now and we have to aim for that every week,” he added.

And Ballymena United manager David Jeffrey seems to have unearthed a couple of gems in forwards Cathair Friel and Johnny McMurray before they travel to tackle Dungannon Swifts at Stangmore Parl this afternoon.

“They have talent and they have ability and they are working very hard off the park in training and they are relentless. You can see how hard they work for the team and their goal scoring has been great.”

In the other games on Saturday afternoon Ards host Crusaders and Portadown host Carrick.
