Kevin Braniff scored what proved the all important winner in the second half, but the win was secured thanks to a late penalty save by man of the match Johnny Tuffey.

Glenavon also had to play out the latter stages with just ten men after Kris Lindsay was sent off after picking up a second yellow when conceding the penalty.
