IRISH LEAGUE: Linfield manager David Healy's challenge to suspension unsuccessful

Healy received a six-match general ban after being sent to the stands for the third time this season.

A manager’s dismissal incurs an automatic one-match touchline ban but the IFA has opted to impose a further six-match general suspension.

Healy will be banned from the dressing-rooms and the tunnel area at venues as well the touchline for the six games.

David Healy -

The Disciplinary Committee heard a challenge from Linfield FC Manager David Healy. Mr Healy confirmed that a red card offence had occurred which equated to the 3rd occasion of misconduct this season.The Committee, having considered written and oral submissions from the club, deemed the challenge unsuccessful. The six match standard suspension will commence on Monday 20 March 2017.

PA incident- Linfield v Glentoran

The Committee considered the written and oral submissions from Linfield FC and were satisfied that a breach of Article 17 of the Articles of Association had occurred. However, given the points made in mitigation and the manner in which the club had handled the matter following the incident, the Committee deemed a warning as to future conduct appropriate in the case.

Linfield v Coleraine / Jim Kerr

The Committee considered written and oral submissions from Linfield FC and were satisfied that the club and Mr Kerr in his official capacity had breached Articles 21, 27 and 33 of the Disciplinary Code and imposed the following sanctions:

Article 21- Two match standard suspension imposed upon Mr Kerr and a fine of £250 imposed on the club

Article 27- Five match stadium ban for Mr Kerr and £1000 fine imposed on the club

Article 33- A warning to the club regarding the future conduct of its supporters

The Committee also found that there was a breach of Article 17 of the Articles of Association however, did not feel it necessary to impose any further sanctions.

The Club has a right of appeal in relation to all three hearings.
