Irish League Round-Up: New arrival at Dundela as Bangor confirm striker is set to return to pre-season training

The midfielder has signed on the dotted line at Wilgar Park after already obtaining plenty of experience in the second-tier with previous spells with both Ards and Ballyclare Comrades.

First-team manager Clifford Adams expressed his excitement at securing the midfielder's signature:

"We are absolutely delighted to welcome Gary to the club for the upcoming campaign,” he told the club’s social media platforms.

"He is a player of proven Championship quality, and someone I have admired for a long time. Gary is at an excellent stage of his career, possesses technical ability, and is comfortable with the ball at his feet.

"He is a footballer capable of making a real difference for us on the pitch, and I have no doubt he will quickly become a firm favourite here at Wilgar Park. We are all thoroughly looking forward to seeing him in a Dundela shirt this season."

Meanwhile, Institute have confirmed that first-team coach Gary Devenney is to depart the club due to “increasing commitments” with a foundation charity he helped establish in memory of his former partner.

In a statement, the Londonderry-based club thanked Gary for his services and stated how they would be “honoured” to help the foundation charity in any way they can.

Premiership new-boys Limavady United have announced new deals for six key men over the past few days.

Goalkeeper Marty Gallagher, midfielder Lewis Tosh and defender Rodney Brown have all agreed new contracts as Paul Owens’ men prepare for a crack at the top-flight.

They joined Tiarnan Boorman, Ruairi Boorman and Matthew Walker in extending their stay on the north west.

Elsewhere, Bangor have confirmed that striker Ben Arthurs will return to the club for pre-season training.

It comes after the Seasiders released a statement on April 20 saying how Arthurs was suspended following “a disciplinary matter” and that “a full internal review” would take place.

However, Bangor have since provided an update outlining how Arthurs will now return to the squad and that they will not be making any further comment on the matter.

Moyola Park have also been active yet again after completing a deal for Crusaders full-back Brendan Hamilton.

The former Aberdeen man played 20 times for the Hatchetmen last season in the top-flight as he enters the next chapter of his career.
