It will be tough test against Warrenpoint Town says Glentoran's Paul Leeman

Warrenpoint got off to a poor start in their league campaign but a 2-1 win against Cliftonville and then a 1-1 draw with Newry in recent encounters has got them playing with a little bit of belief.

And Glens coach Leeman knows it will not be an easy afternoon for his men.

“It is never easy down there and they are not a bad side. We will have to play well and hopefully get something from the game.

“They have a number of good players and they will be difficult to beat but we are in good form and we will go there looking for a positive result.”

The Glens have been on a good run of late as they have gone unbeaten in their last eight games before they face Warrenpoint tomorrow and Leeman says they are going well.

“We are on good form and playing well.

“All the new players have gelled well and they have come in and done a good job for us.

“The boys are all working very hard and they are taking on board what we want them to do.

“Hopefully we will have a strong squad to pick from for the game.

“It will be tough game but we are up for the challenge,” said Leeman.

Warrenpoint’s Simon Kelly thought Town deserved more than drawing with Newry in their last outing.

“We were disappointed not to get the three points in a game we really wanted to win. I thought we started very well and dominated the first half.

“Newry came out strong in the second half and got ahead but like last week we showed great character to get a draw, which I felt we at least deserved.

“It was a good week for us with four points in the league and the cup win mid week.

“It was great to have such good support last night and we hope we can keep getting big crowds at games.

“The Glens will be a test but we want a positive result from the game,” added the Warrenpoint player.
