New Lisburn Rangers manager 'excited by the challenge ahead' as club announce Hugh Sinclair's successor

He arrives at Stanley Park after various coaching experiences across both the men’s and women’s game.

In a statement, Lisburn Rangers say McConville joints the club “at an exciting time” as they aim to build on recent successes and “continue progressing both on and off the pitch.”

Joining McConville in the management team is Andy Clyde, who takes up the role of Assistant Manager. Andy transitions from his scouting role and brings experience from previous positions as Assistant Manager at Warrenpoint Town U20s and Downshire YM.

Completing the initial coaching team is Jack Higginson, who joins as first team coach.

Lisburn Rangers say that further additions to the coaching and backroom staff will be announced in the coming weeks as the club continues to strengthen its football department ahead of the new campaign.

They also reveal that McConville and Higginson will continue in their existing roles as head coaches at Linfield Ladies and Linfield Ladies Reserves, respectively, maintaining their ongoing commitments while embarking on this new challenge with Lisburn Rangers.

Speaking about his latest challenge, McConville told Lisburn Rangers social media platforms: “We’re excited by the challenge ahead. Our aim is to build a hardworking, honest team that represents the club with pride, while creating an environment where players can improve, compete, and enjoy their football. We can’t wait to get started.”
