The Bannsiders are on a 15-game unbeaten run at present as they hunt down Danske Bank Premiership leaders Linfield.

Five wins on the bounce has helped Oran Kearney’s men maintain a title push.

Jarvis highlighted the feelgood factor around The Showgrounds at present, but added that they weren’t getting carried away with things just yet.

“The mood in the changing room is fantastic,” said the former Institute midfielder.

“There is a good feel factor around the place.

“We are 15-games unbeaten now, but we are just taking each game as it comes and everyone is feeding off each other.”

With the hectic fixture schedule the Bannsiders have used their squad wisely in recent months.

Jarvis has had his spell on the sideline too but made a goalscoring return to the first team in last Friday night’s win over Crusaders.

The 23-year-old is hoping to nail down a regular starting spot now as we enter the business end of the season.

“It’s a crazy run of fixtures at the minute,” he said.

“Oran is changing it about each game but I was delighted to be back in the starting eleven last week.

“It’s probably just my fitness more than anything but I’m feeling really good and hopefully I can stay in the team and kick on.”

Jarvis’s goal in the second half against the Crues clinched another three points for the Bannsiders.

It was only his second of the season but he is targeting a few more.

“The ball broke and I just took a touch and hit it,” he said.

“I just didn’t know where to run to celebrate as there are no fans there.

“I could have had a couple more and I could have slipped Ben (Doherty) in for one.

“But I’m delighted to get my second goal of the season but I’m hopeful of chipping in with a few more.

“It was a massive win for us.

“We are not really counting the games as we are simply taking each one as it comes and hopefully picking up three points.

“We now move on to Carrick and the aim will be to collect another three points.

“It’s going to be a tough game though. Carrick are a good team, well organised and Niall has them well set-up.”
