Bobby Burns hungry for success with Glentoran
The former Glenavon left back, who has also played for Hearts and Australian side Newcastle Jets, is impressed by the set-up with the east Belfast outfit.
“The Glens clearly have a really good plan going forward so I’m really happy to be part of it,” he told the club website.

“So, when I knew there was a chance of a loan I got in touch with Mick (McDermott) and Windy (Paul Millar) right away because this project really appeals to me.
“The facilities here, such as the new gym, are just as good as anywhere I’ve been in England, Scotland or Australia.
“The attitude around the club is very professional and there’s a great hunger for success at the club.

Head Coach McDermott is delighted to have secured Burns’ services.
“Bobby fits the profile of what we are looking for at Glentoran: quality, honesty, pace, enthusiasm and a strong desire to compete,” he said.
“He is another strong addition as we move forward with this project.”
