Cliftonville’s Joe Gormley breaks elbow in training

Cliftonville’s Joe Gormley will be out of action for an extended period after breaking his elbow in training.

The north Belfast club has extended its best wishes to the 31-year-old and wished him a speedy recovery.

Gormley is the club’s record goalscorer but so far this season he has found the back of the net only twice in the Irish Premiership.

Cliftonville, fifth in the table, travel to Ballymena on Saturday before Paddy McLaughlin’s side take on league leaders Linfield on Tuesday at Solitude.
