Former Glenavon star makes Irish League return after signing short-term deal
Ballymena United manager Oran Kearney believes former Glenavon full-back Len O’Sullivan can make an immediate impact after joining the Sky Blues on a short-term contract.
O’Sullivan impressed during his time at Mourneview Park, making 47 Premiership appearances before earning a move to Scottish Championship outfit Ross County.
The 22-year-old played 26 times in Scotland’s second-tier last season as the Staggies suffered relegation with County confirming O’Sullivan’s exit in September.
O’Sullivan had been training with League of Ireland club Cork City, but has now joined Ballymena following Shane McEleney’s departure.

Former Derry City and Glentoran defender McEleney’s contract was terminated by mutual consent earlier this week.
O’Sullivan, who has also spent time on the books of Wexford and Bray, is available to make his Ballymena debut in Saturday’s home Premiership clash against Crusaders.
"It's well documented we've had issues with injuries in the left back position and with Shane McEleney moving on, it freed up the space to bring in Len,” said Kearney on the club’s website. “He knows the league and had a good stint in Scotland.
"He's keen to get going and importantly, he's ready to go straight away.
"Ross County were keen to keep him, but I think he wanted to come back closer to home.
"He's been training with Cork City, but I remember from his time at Glenavon that he's a fit and energetic lad and he's ready made to come straight in."
