The Blues lead the way at the top by four points after a hard-fought win at Warrenpoint Town last week.

And Healy knows they will have to dig in during their remaining ten league games if they are to keep the Gibson Cup at Windsor Park.

“At the minute myself as manager and the players have got to remain upbeat and positive,” he told the club website.

“We need help at times with the performances. They are not all going to be as exciting as everybody wants.

“But coming down to the nitty gritty now with the last ten league games of the season and we need everybody backing the players and the football club and getting right behind us.

“Hopefully then we can get the positive results we want against Ballymena United and Crusaders the following week.

“We always get it tough down at Ballymena and they are coming off the back of a disappointing defeat at home last week.

“David (Jeffrey) will be looking for a response and we need to make sure we’re prepared for it.

People have been talking about results and teams all season, we’ve been getting a hard time at stages of the season, but we’re still in and around where we want to be.

“It would be lovely to be nine or ten points clear, but we’re not.

“We’ve got to fight hard for the points and the victories.

“We’re going to have to dig in during certain games that’s why we need everybody sticking together and we’ll see where it takes us.

“Fair play to the players they managed the game at Warrenpoint and we came away with a crucial three points.

“They have made it difficult for a lot of teams down there this season.

“It was important that we did our jobs correctly, which we did.

“We saw the game out in horrendous conditions and thankfully Andy Waterworth popped up with two more important goals.”
