The Inver Park men have won their last four games on the bounce.

And Lynch is delighted to see the results follow their hard efforts

“We talked in our pre-match chat at Institute last week about the processes and about sticking to what we’re good at,” said the larne boss.

“I think we’re starting to find now that the processes we have stood by all season we are now getting the performances to back them up.

“I think there’s that little bit of belief there now.

“But we haven’t done anything yet as we keep saying.

“We have to keep working and working, and we don’t take our eye off the ball. I think that will stand by us.”

Despite the horrendous weather conditions Larne ran out 4-0 winners in the end at ‘Stute.

“All credit to both sets of players - it was probably the worst conditions that I’ve ever seen,” said Lynch.

“It had a little bit of everything in there. As a neutral, that would have been very difficult to sit and watch but we were very professional in what we did.

“We rode out the storm in the first half and thankfully we got our rewards in the second.

“Those conditions were so bad that every gameplan we worked on during the week just went out the window. We’ll go to Dungannon now with plenty of confidence, but we’ll also give them the respect they’re due.”

The Swifts picked up a valuable point themselves as they shared the spoolis with Cliftonville.

“It’s always good going away to a team challenging for the title and getting a point,” said boss Kris Lindsay.

“I thought the performance was very good, and we’re actually a little disappointed not to have come away with all three points.

“I thought our second-half performance was particularly good. It’s important to let teams know they’re in a game and we’ve certainly done that in recent weeks.”
