Linfield add new defender to their ranks

The 23-year-old, who came up through the ranks at Newcastle United, played last season in the top division of the Icelandic League with Vikingur Olafsvik.

Boss David Healy is delighted to have brought the defender to Windsor Park.

"He’s a player I know well and he will be an excellent addition to the squad," he told the club website.


"I’m really looking forward to working with him over the coming months.”

Newbury posted on his official Twitter after completing the move: “Delighted to sign for @officialblues. Massive club and look forward to getting started. Also massive thank you to @mccreerysports for getting it sorted.”
