RONALDINHO - I remember watching the La Liga broadcast on Sunday nights before going to bed and every time he got on the ball at Barcelona I couldn’t wait to see what he was going to do.

WAYNE ROONEY - Being a Manchester United fan I always loved Rooney and his attitude for football. He always kept his hunger and played every game like it was his last- so I always tried to implement that into my own game.

DAVID BECKHAM - I think I’ve tried to copy every single one of his hairstyles since about the age of 5 years old! We also all tried to copy his set-piece technique too...plus he’s a handsome chap, so why not stick him in!

THIERRY HENRY - I loved how quick and direct he was. I’d always try to copy his goals in my back garden as a youngster and, in particular, how he would open his body up and place it out and around into the bottom right-hand corner.

DIDIER DROGBA - I hated him whilst he was in his prime because he was constantly winning leagues and scoring against United. But I began to appreciate him the older I got for his physical ability and how he used to bully defenders. The complete number nine.

ZINEDINE ZIDANE - An absolute magician. Played the game with such an elegant, classy style but the way he used to manipulate the ball with so many different parts of his foot was just on a different level.

RONALDO - Again, watching La Liga on Sunday nights before bed was always a part of my childhood and what I loved about Ronaldo was that he used to take it around keepers every chance he could before slotting it home. Who doesn’t like taking the Mickey out of goalkeepers!

CRISTIANO RONALDO - I think in this day and age you’re either a Messi or Ronaldo man and I’m definitely a Ronaldo man. The amount of goals he’s scored in his career and how he looks after himself is just something that we’ll never see the like of again.

ROY KEANE - The former Manchester United skipper is the definition of a captain for me. His banter on Sky Sports as a pundit is right up there too, a cut-throat and dry wit is hard to beat...

RUUD VAN NISTELROOY - An absolute poacher who I loved growing up. But a story that really makes me laugh was when I was a kid my Dad bought me a brand new United jersey and I was at him for weeks to get a name on the back. So we went to the printing shop and my Dad was trying to push me to get Giggs, Veron etc - nice short names that wouldn’t cost him much. I turned round and asked for Ruud Van Nistelrooy. I think the printing ended up costing him more than the jersey!
