TRANSFER ROUND-UP: Promoted Irish League boss secures midfielder who 'does all sides of the game really well', plus double deal and player exit

Limavady United preparations for life in the Premiership have continued with a deal to bolster midfield by bringing in Aaron Jarvis.

The 29-year-old arrives at last season’s Championship champions as manager Paul Owens works hard over the summer transfer window in anticipation of the top-flight challenge.

Jarvis is on board following the expiration of his Ballymena contract, with Owens drawing on long-standing knowledge of the player to wrap up the deal.

“I am delighted to welcome Aaron to the club,” said Owens on the official club social media platforms. “My relationship with Aaron goes back a long way, and it was me that recommended Coleraine to sign him all them years ago.

“Aaron does all sides of the game really well and we are delighted he has committed his long-term future to Limavady United.”

Dundela have secured deals for Kenzie Beattie and Gerard Walker.

Duns boss Clifford Adams described Beattie across official club social media platforms as “a young player we have been monitoring closely for some time”.

He added: Kenzie gained valuable senior experience with Ballymacash last season before returning to Linfield Swifts.

"He is a strong, dynamic and skilful player who will further strengthen our attacking options.

"We have been particularly impressed with his ambition to develop and establish himself at this level.

"As a club, we take great pride in supporting young talent and we are confident Kenzie will thrive in our environment.

Adams, manager of the Championship club, also added: “We are absolutely delighted to confirm the signing of Gerard Walker ahead of the new season.

“Standing at an impressive 6ft 4in, Gerard is Northern Ireland junior international goalkeeper...a player we have monitored closely for some time.

"We are thrilled that he has chosen to join Dundela to further strengthen our goalkeeping department, especially given the significant interest he attracted from numerous other clubs.”

Premiership club Dungannon Swifts have confirmed “as his contract comes to an end, Tommy Taggert will be moving on from Dungannon Swifts”.

The club statement across official social media platforms highlighted: “We want to express our gratitude for his memorable performances throughout his time at the club, at all age levels, and commitment to the squad.

"Tommy leaves with our best wishes for his future both on and off the pitch.”
