Northern Ireland international Josh Magennis has joined Exeter City on a one-year deal.

Magennis was released by Wigan Athletic at the end of last season after scoring 10 goals in 42 appearances across all competitions in the 2023-24 campaign.

The 33-year-old forward has won 79 caps for his country.

Exeter boss Gary Caldwell told the club’s website: “He is a real proven goalscorer at this level, and the level above, as well as having great international pedigree with Northern Ireland. His experience will be of huge benefit to our younger forwards.”

Magennis previously had spells at Hull City, Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic.
