Danny Rohl looking at domestic market to strengthen Rangers
Danny Rohl revealed Rangers will consider the Scottish market when they refurbish their squad in January.
The Light Blues head coach will play a key role in adding to his group in the new year after the Ibrox club lost fround in the William Hill Premiership title race.

Following the sacking of sporting director Kevin Thelwell, Rangers appointed former Norway international and Liverpool defender Stig Inge Bjornebye as a football consultant and advisor on an initial six-month contract and he will also play his part.
Rangers have been criticised for ignoring talent on its doorstep albeit midfielder Connor Barron was signed from Aberdeen in 2024 and is a key squad member, while playmaker Lyall Cameron has yet to make his mark since his move from Dundee in the summer.
Rohl said: “We should not close our eyes for the Scottish market.
“You have players who have the experience here in this league. They know what it means to play against other teams. They know what it means also to play for Rangers or against Rangers.
“I’m totally open. It’s not about the market, it’s really about which position the players can help us.”
Rangers’ 2-1 defeat by Hearts on Sunday was Rohl’s first domestic defeat as Gers boss but it left them in fourth place, 12 points behind the league-leading Jambos with a game in hand.
Celtic are six points ahead of the Govan side and Motherwell one ahead going into Saturday’s game against the third-placed Steelmen at Ibrox.
Rohl is looking forward to taking on Well, who have proved a surprise package this season
The former Sheffield Wednesday boss said: “They are doing well. They have a lot of ball possession in the league. I think about over 60 per cent. They have a direction.
“But I’m convinced that if we bring our intensity on the pitch, our structure with the ball, against the ball, that give us all those spaces where we can attack them.
“I’m really looking forward to this game because I think both teams will try to play their own direction, not a small team who is just destroying the game.
“They want to play football, they want to press, and this is a good basic to have an interesting game.”
