There were wins for Armagh, Down, Fermanagh and Londonderry in the Junior Section of the SuperCupNI on Tuesday.

Armagh lad Alberto Balde was the toast of the tournament after he hit a hat-trick against Tyrone.

Dean McCullough’s boys won the intercounty derby 5-1 at Anderson Park, with Tyler Marsden and Chris Hutchinson also finding the net.

In another all-local affair, David Bryson’s County Down side beat ClubNI’s Under 14 side 2-1 at the Coleraine Showgrounds.

The Irish FA’s School of Excellence got off to a great start when they grabbed the lead in the second minute through Charlie White.

Unfortunately for the young side their lead didn’t last long. Nassem Ouidhamlet equalised for Down with four minutes left in the half before Ruari O’Hare grabbed the winner eight minutes into the second half.

Fermanagh were also feeling the Love at the SuperCupNI last night, when they claimed a 3-1 win over Dundalk in Roe Mill.

Conor Love scored twice for the county side with Darragh McBrien also finding the net.

Londonderry were another county side to taste success. They beat Mexican side Collina 4-1 at Anderson Park.

Antrim’s Junior side had a difficult night at the Ballymena Showgrounds. Stefan Seaton’s boys lost 4-1 to Right to Dream.

There was disappointment for Rangers at Scroggy Road. They drew 2-2 with Plymouth Argyle.

Jack Byland’s return to the tournament, exactly one year after he broke his leg on the opening day, continued to go to plan. The Southampton goalkeeper kept a clean sheet as the Saints beat Glaswegians Partick Thistle 1-0 in Limavady. Sheffield United recorded their second win of the tournament, beating Donegal 5-2 in Portstewart.

Columbian side Alset’s torrid lost 3-1 to New Zealanders MS Select in Ballymoney. The Strikerswon 3-1 over Swindon Town. Fellow Americans, First Choice Soccer drew 1-1 with Cherry Orchard in Rugby Avenue while North Dublin Schools beat GPS Bayern 3-2 in Portrush.
