Former Plymouth and Chesterfield chief Sheridan had been in charge of League Two Newport since October 2 when former Linfield boss Feeney joined his backroom team.

Feeney and first team coach Mike Flynn will be in charge for Saturday’s trip to York City and are set to remain in post until at least the end of the season.
