Giants players feature in Great Britain squad for upcoming fixtures
Five Belfast Giants have been named in the latest Great Britain squad for their training camp and international double-header against Poland ahead of the World Championships in Croatia next month.
Stephen Murphy, Mark Garside, Jonathan Boxill, Craig Peacock and Colin Shields all feature in the initial panel which coach Peter Russell will then reduce to 23 players who will travel to Zagreb for Division 1B games against hosts Croatia, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania and Romania.
Russell, who has also appointed Coventry Blaze head coach Chuck Weber to the coaching staff, said: “This group has a mix of talent, age and experience.”
