The match-up was confirmed following the final games of the Elite League season on Sunday that saw the Giants finish fourth in the standings with the Panthers fifth.

The playoff quarter-final ties take place on a two-legged basis with the best aggregate score advancing to the ‘Final 4’ weekend at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham on Saturday and Sunday, April 3-4.

There will be no overtime or penalties after the first leg, but overtime and penalties will be used if scores are level on aggregate after regulation time in the second leg.

The first leg will take place in Nottingham on Saturday, March 26, face-off 7pm before the second leg in Belfast on Easter Monday, March 28, face-off 7pm, which will be the final home game of the season for the Giants.
