Joel Kipsang Kositany claims third victory in Belfast Marathon

Kenyan Joel Kipsang Kositany claimed his third Belfast Marathon victory as he won the men's race in two hours, 17 minutes and 39 seconds.

Kositany finished one minute and four seconds ahead of compatriot Eric Koech, while Dan Tanui completed an all-Kenyan podium as he finished third in 2:18.46.

Kilkeel athlete Laura Graham was a superb second behind Ethiopian Berhan Gebremichael in the women’s race eight days after running the London Marathon.

Last year’s winner Gebremichael took victory in 2:48.26, with Graham 29 seconds behind the Ethiopian and Czech athlete Radka Churanova third in 2:51.37.
