Title holder Marty McHugh will hope to enhance his already glowing reputation in the NIBA Singles Championships on Thursday night.

The big Whitehead man has written his own little chapter in the history of the tournament by being the only player to have lifted the trophy on four successive occasions – 2003-2006.

When he again hoisted the trophy last season, it was his seventh singles victory! He faces Clarendon’s Alan Hill in round three on Thursday night.
