Bathams Racing British Superbike team boss Michael Rutter teases 2026 announcement amid of Storm Stacey Ducati link
Michael Rutter has teased an announcement this week with plans for the Bathams AJN Racing Team still to be officially confirmed.
Storm Stacey spearheaded team boss Rutter’s maiden foray into last year’s British Superbike Championship on a BMW M1000RR, although the Bathams team has been linked with a switch to Ducati machinery for 2026.
Stacey is one of the few remaining leading names still to announce their plans for BSB this year.
Rutter’s own racing future is unknown after a crash last year at the Isle of Man TT ruled him out for the rest of the season.

He was back on a bike for the first time at the Classic TT in August, where Rutter participated in a parade lap.
The 53-year-old is expected to be among the guests at this week’s live launch of the North West 200 in Belfast.
Stacey, meanwhile, said his time with the Bathams team in 2025 was his “most enjoyable season yet”.
The English rider thanked Rutter for his efforts in a Christmas social media post, writing: “I’d like to start by saying a massive thank you to Michael Rutter for pulling the team together for me at the end of last year. I know that it was a massive task.
“I think we did a good job for the team’s first go in the BSB class!
“It’s been a great season with ten top 5 finishes, just 1 crash all season and ending up 10th in the championship. If it wasn’t for a few uncontrollable issues, we could have been 6-8th in the championship so very impressive!
“It was by far my most enjoyable year of racing yet, I feel like Michael saved me and made me truly love motorbike racing again!”
