British Superbike rider Scott Swann confirms he has 'nothing sorted' for 2026 after 'extremely tough winter'

Northern Ireland’s Scott Swann is still hoping to secure a British Superbike ride for 2026 after confirming he does not yet have a deal in place.

Swann made his full-time BSB debut in 2025 on the IWR Honda after finishing third in the National Superstock 1000 Championship in 2024, winning five races on his Swann Racing Honda.

However, the Co Antrim rider endured a challenging season in BSB last year and finished the championship in 19th position.

Swann recently rode a Yamaha R1 at Andalucia in Spain but took to social media to explain that he is still hoping to clinch a deal after “an extremely tough winter”.

In a video message on Instagram, Swann said: “There's a lot of questions flying around about what I'm doing for next year and I feel like nowadays nobody wants to read a big spiel, so I thought I'd just make a quick video to explain things.

“I've just finished four days at Andalucia so a massive thank you to Jamie at Chamois who came on board a couple of years ago and he had two R1s spare.

“I was bored in the house and he says, ‘do you want to go and ride some bikes?’ So that's what we'd be doing for the last four days and it's been mega to be out on a bike again, but with that, everybody's been thinking is Scott going on an R1? If he’s not, what's happening?

“I wanted to sort of wait a while and see if something came up, or if I had some good news for everyone and then actually do an update, but I thought it's probably better just to do it now because I think a lot of people actually don't know where I'm at from being at the track day,” he added.

“It's been a tough winter, an extremely tough winter, to be fair, trying to get things together. There's been a lot of phone calls; some promises, some maybes and a good few letdowns. Nothing's really being developed any further than that, but we've been working extremely hard on it and hopefully I get something sorted for this season now shortly.”

Swann said he would be on the grid in 2026 “no matter what” as he continues to explore his options.

“It's getting closer to the season now and I'd like to get something sorted, so there's a couple of things around maybe at the minute and hopefully we can get developed on them,” he said.

“But for the meantime, I haven't got anything sorted, but we're definitely not gonna give up and no matter what, I will be on the grid for next year.

“I just want to say as well… all the sponsors I've had for years and all the ones that have come on board in the last year are all still behind me and rooting for me.

“So massive thanks to them that are making everything possible and hopefully soon we can get something sorted, and I'm sure we can.”
