British Superbike title leader Glenn Irwin finishes as runner-up in race two at Snetterton | Andrew Irwin and Ryan Vickers crash out
The Carrick man’s brother and team-mate Andrew was involved in another crash at the Norfolk circuit with RAF Regular and Reserves Kawasaki rider Ryan Vickers.
Irwin started from the rear of the grid after failing to set a lap time in Saturday’s opening race, when he crashed on the first lap. The 25-year-old started from the back of the grid in that race after being penalised for an incident involving Josh Brookes at Donington Park, which also resulted in Irwin being excluded from the results in race three after he had finished in second place.

Tommy Bridewell (Oxford Ducati) completed the podium places ahead of Lee Jackson on the Massingberd-Mundy Kawasaki. His team-mate, Danny Buchan, crashed out at Ago’s after touching the rear of Bradley Ray’s BMW. Ray dropped down the field as a result and eventually finished in 10th place.
