Dominic Herbertson targets top-10 finishes on ex-Josh Brookes BMW for KTS Racing at Isle of Man TT
Dominic Herbertson is targeting top-10 finishes in every class at this year’s Isle of Man TT following confirmation he will ride BMW machinery for KTS Racing.
Herbertson will ride an ex-Josh Brookes BMW M1000RR in the Superbike, Superstock and Senior races at the TT in addition to a previously confirmed factory-supported KTS Racing Macadam Triumph 765 in the Supersport class.
After riding for Northern Ireland team Burrows Engineering/RK Racing on a BMW M1000RR in 2024, Herbertson clocked his first 130mph lap around the Mountain Course.
The 34-year-old ran his own Honda team last year, when he again lapped in excess of 130mph and claimed eighth and ninth in the Superstock races, setting a new personal best TT lap at 131.183mph.

A podium finisher in the Supertwin class in 2024 with Burrows Racing and again last year on the Melbray Racing Paton, the Northumberland rider – who replaces Yorkshireman Jamie Coward in the KTS Racing line-up – said he was “really pleased” with the deal.
“I’m really pleased to be doing the big bike races with Kevin [Watret, Team Principal, KTS Racing] and the KTS team,” said Herbertson. “We have a strong package across the board, and the BMW is a bike that gives me confidence around the Mountain Course.
“The goal is to keep building, improve again on my personal best laps and push further into the top ten in all races.”
Team boss Kevin Watret said he feels Herbertson is capable of challenging for the top six in the 1000cc races in June.
“Over the last few years, Dom has shown he is capable of running consistently inside the top ten in the big bike races,” he said.
“With the BMW M1000RR and our team experience, we believe we have the package he needs to improve further and challenge the top six in the Superbike, Superstock, and Senior races.
“The aim is to build steadily through practice and give him the confidence to get straight up to speed on the Mountain Course.”
The 2026 Isle of Man TT takes place from May 25 to June 6.
