Host of star names entered for annual Pro-Test at Cartagena

A raft of top UK and Irish riders have been confirmed for the annual 2016 Pro-Test at Cartagena in Spain, organised by former Honda Britain and Norton team boss Barry Symmons.

The popular pre-season warm-up will take place from Thursday, March 3 to Sunday, March 6, with over 90 machines entered.

The line-up includes a host of British Superbike teams, with the Tyco BMW outfit out in force with BSB riders Michael Laverty and Christian Iddon and new Superstock 1000 signing Josh Elliott joined by roads star Ian Hutchinson.

The Buildbase BMW team of Richard Cooper, Lee Jackson and Taylor Mackenzie plus Michael Dunlop, who has signed with Hawk Racing for the international road races in 2016, are also on the list plus Bournemouth Kawasaki’s Filip Backlund, Luke Mossey and James Hillier.

GBmoto Kawasaki trio Leon Haslam, Peter Hickman and James Ellison are entered along with Halsall Suzuki’s Tommy Bridewell and Ryuichi Kiyonari, while the PBM Be Wiser Ducati team of Shane Byrne and Glenn Irwin will be in action on the exotic Panigale R.

Tommy Hill’s ePayMe Yamaha riders Stuart Easton and John Hopkins, Mar-Train Racing’s Dan Kneen and RC Express Racing pair Ivan Lintin and Alan Bonner are also among the standout entries.
