McAdoo Racing's Adam McLean seals Supersport pole from Paul Jordan at Cookstown 100

Adam McLean put the McAdoo Racing Kawasaki on pole in the Supersport class at the KDM Hire Cookstown 100.

McLean, who has been competing in the British Superstock 600 Championship on the Ugly & Co Yamaha, is making a belated road racing comeback following his crash at the Tandragee 100 in 2019.

The Tobermore man was almost one second clear of Paul Jordan (Burrows Engineering/RK Racing Yamaha), setting a time in 1m 26.253s, with Ballymoney’s Darryl Tweed impressing in third place on Stanley Stewart’s Yamaha (1m 27.471s).

Michael Sweeney (1m 27.649s) was fourth fastest on the CM Building Yamaha ahead of Mike Browne (Burrows Engineering/RK Racing Yamaha).

Wexford’s Graham Kennedy finalised the top six on the John O’Donoghue Yamaha.

Earlier, Derek Sheils topped qualifying for the Superbike class on his new Roadhouse Macau BMW.
