Farquhar also intends to compete at the Around-A-Pound Tandragee 100 on April 23, where he claimed a big bike victory last year on his return to the class for the first time since 2012.

The effervescent Ulsterman, who added another international success last year in the Supertwins class on his KMR Kawasaki at the North West 200, revealed that he will take in a Thundersport meeting over Easter before heading to Clough for the first Irish National roads meeting of the season on Saturday, April 2.

“I’m doing Mid Antrim and Tandragee – that’s the plan. I’ll be going to Donington at Easter to do a Thundersport race for some more track time,” Farquhar said.

Farquhar is due to announce his full plans for 2016 soon.

The Mid Antrim takes over from the Cookstown 100 (April 30) as the first Irish road race of the season as the event returns to the calendar for the first time since 2013.
