Ireland pencil in Poland dates for EuroHockey tournament

The Ireland men’s squad has a provisional date for play in Poland next August across the EuroHockey Championship II tournament.

Ireland will feature in Gniezno from August 1-7 alongside Austria, Croatia, Italy, Scotland, Switzerland, Ukraine and the host nation.

It is understood the dates remain subject to change given the plans to reschedule the Olympic Games.

Ireland men suffered relegation last year from the top tier.

FIH officials aim to utilise World ranking positions to determine the breakdown of pools.

Ireland women will join Belgium, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Scotland in Holland from August 20-29 for tournament play.
