Point to point racing returns to Portrush

It has been 40 years since The Route Hunt Point To Point Horse Races took place in Portrush but thanks to the co-operation of Mr Ian McMaw the Route Hunt will run Point To Point races at Loguestown Road, Portrush on Saturday 22nd October at 1pm.

Horses will run the mile long track three times in each race, will jump five fences each lap and will pass by the historic standing stone “The White Wife”.

Point to point races are the training ground for race horses who if successful can go on to race at Cheltenham so this is a great opportunity to see up close possible future champions.
