Ulster conceded four tries in the 26-20 defeat against Connacht while Leinster beat Munster to make it 14 wins out of 14 in the league this season and Leo Cullen’s side have won all six European games.

“It’s a difficult one there is no doubt Leinster are and outstanding team and they are having a great season so far, but what we have spoken about this week is preparing ourselves and using this time to prepare on what is to come for us, we have the semi final next week,” said Peel.

“This week is all about preparation for ourselves, obviously Leinster will bring their own challenge in their own way, but we’ll focus on ourselves this week and make sure we give the best account of ourselves.

“The big thing for us is to try and get that cohesion and that is what we will be striving for this weekend.

“After any defeat there is excitement to get back out there and put things right.

“We can’t be too disappointed over one performance because it is an exciting time coming up for us, we have reviewed it and we have to put it right.

“The boys have trained well and hard, and are in good shape physically.

“This week it is about putting that on the pitch in preparation for a big game against Leinster and what is to come in the next couple of weeks as well.

“I think a lot of it is quick fixes, we have planned ahead and worked on a number of areas of our game, there are just a few areas of our game we need to tidy up but no major concerns.”

There was more bad news on the injury front for Ulster as centre Luke Marshall has been ruled out of the trip to the Aviva Stadium.

“Lukey is carrying an injury and he is going to be a bit of time I think,” revealed Peel.

“It’s unfortunate for him he picked up a knock in the pre-season period so hopefully he is back sooner rather than later, but he won’t be available this week.”

Peel was reluctant to put a date on winger Robert Balacoune’s return after his hamstring injury.

“I’m not sure when his date to come back is,”he said.

“He took a nasty one a week to 10 days ago, I’m gutted for him because he was looking really sharp he’d come back from the lockdown in good nick and he was flying.

“It is disappointing for him but I’m sure he will come back stronger for us, but he’ll be out for a while.”

Rob Lyttle has recovered from injury and is available for the trip to Dublin.

Meanwhile, Ulster Rugby and their main sponsor, Kingspan, are encouraging fans to #StandUpTogether, as they unveiled a special edition jersey to be worn for this Saturday’s Guinness PRO14 fixture.

The #StandUpTogether message - which will replace the Kingspan logo on the front of the Ulster jersey - will be familiar to Ulster Rugby followers who will have seen it across the club’s social media channels in recent months.

The message is an adaption of the famous Stand Up For The Ulster Men slogan and is a nod to the combined effort of the rugby community and wider public in supporting frontline workers in the battle against COVID-19.

As a global leader in the development of building materials, Kingspan are committed to building back better in a sustainable manner, as rugby returns following the enforced interruption.

By encouraging supporters and the wider public to #StandUpTogether, the company believes that communities can come out of the pandemic stronger.

Bianca Wong, Global Head of Sustainability at Kingspan commented: “As a proud partner of Ulster Rugby and a responsible member of communities across Ulster and further afield, Kingspan believes in the importance of building back better following the health crisis we continue to endure.
