Inst have turned Shaw’s Bridge into a fortress since their return to All Ireland League Rugby four seasons ago, winning all 29 home games with 28 try bonus points.

“It's nice that we're back home again,” stated player/coach Pritchard. “We’ve obviously been very good there over the last few seasons but the boys are a little bit annoyed at losing to Trinity.

“That's just the natural way of it when you lose a game, you can't wait to put it right.

“I think maybe when you come off the back of a loss when you go into those free weeks because you really have too much time to look at it...you can't stop yourself from re-watching games and trying to figure out what went wrong.

“The main thing is that we stick to our principles and we're happy to be back at home this weekend. It's just about bouncing back from a disappointing defeat a couple of weeks ago.

“Our league is tough, it's tough on the bodies, it's not a bad thing to have that down week and let the boys recover a bit.”

Despite the defeat at Trinity - Inst picked up a couple of match points.

“The two points are really important, and they'll be vital and that's key, not that we'll ever have that mindset,” Pritchard added.

“We feel like it was one that got away and we probably should have won the game...we've just got to learn from the mistakes and aim to improve and move forward into this week.

“Obviously, we're back home and we'll hopefully see the same response that we saw after the Garryowen defeat and going into the Old Wesley game at home, which was probably our best performance of the season.”

Pritchard knows what to expect from Highfield when the two teams lock horns on Saturday.

He explained: “I think they're a fairly stereotypical Munster team - they're a big, heavy pack and they'll be very abrasive.

“They'll want to win the game-line battle and then they'll have a 10 who can kick very well and a dangerous back three.

“It's a nice challenge for us, I think we came on leaps and bounds in terms of our defence in that area, trying to dominate game-lines.

“That's the big thing for us this week, can we do that? We feel like if we can dominate the game-line, then we'll do well.

“The performance at Trinity was pretty good, so it's not like we're coming in after a bad performance. There are some areas that we'll try to improve on this week and hopefully we see them on Saturday.”

Inst have two former internationals in their back line with Ian Whitten and Craig Gilroy starting, but centre Bevan Prinsloo is suspended after receiving a late red card at Trinity.

Former Methody captain Matthew Neill makes a first start at scrum half.

City of Armagh will look to return to winning ways as Garryowen visit the Palace Grounds.

“We certainly need to get a bit of a bounce back and take the positives from the Blackrock performance,” said Armagh coach Chris Parker.

“It will be important to get some points on the board and keep pushing through that block to Christmas.

“Garryowen came up and beat us at the tail end of last season, so we’re not underestimating them at all and we know they are a well-coached side.”

Ulster front rowers James McCormack and Rory McGuire start.

Queen’s will look to make it back-to-back wins as they travel to basement club UCC.

The Belfast students are without Charlie Irvine, James McKillop, Tom Brigg, Dan Green and Wilhem De Klerk but Joe Hopes is available after playing for Ulster in South Africa.

In the top-flight, Ballynahinch travel to bottom club Nenagh.
